ALM GE 44-tonner 34 interchanges with the Missouri Pacific on a very hot and muggy August day when the temperature reached 108 deg.
You won't find anything here anymore except a couple of interchange tracks. This was a prosperous down-home little operation.
A&LM #34 at Huttig, AR in May 1972. There was approximately one mile of track between Dollar Junction and Hutting where the mill was located. This line was used by the MOP, L&PB and the A&LM.
Odd name for this little shortline but you see Louisiana, MO is the name of a town on the Mississippi River and when they were building it........ Well, you had to be there.
